Artisans Angkor Theatre Groundbreaking Ceremony

On the morning of February 23rd, 2026, Urban Cambo Builders proudly joined Artisans Angkor, project partners, guests, and members of the local community to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Artisans Angkor Theatre in Siem Reap.

The ceremony marked the start of an important cultural investment for the city and for Cambodia’s creative future. Located in the heart of Siem Reap, the theatre will become a new space dedicated to Khmer performance, storytelling, and artistic expression, contributing to the continued growth and revitalisation of the region’s cultural and tourism landscape.

The ceremony followed traditional Khmer blessings and rituals, honouring the land and symbolically marking the beginning of the project. Surrounded by monks, community representatives, project teams, and invited guests, the morning reflected a shared sense of optimism and responsibility for what this space will represent in the years ahead.

Urban Cambo Builders is honoured to be entrusted with the construction of this significant project. As a Cambodian company, we understand the importance of building spaces that not only serve practical functions, but also contribute to the cultural life and identity of our communities. The Artisans Angkor Theatre represents an exciting intersection between architecture, craftsmanship, tourism, and the arts.

We look forward to sharing updates as construction progresses and to seeing the Artisans Angkor Theatre come to life in the months ahead.

Together, We Build.
